ABOUT THE PROGRAM
In December 2011, United Way of Greater Greensboro launched a pilot mentoring program focused on serving disadvantaged African American and Latino boys.
African American Male Initiative (AAMI) programs currently operate at Wiley Elementary, Jackson Middle, and Smith High schools in partnership with Guilford County Schools under the program management of Communities in Schools of Greater Greensboro. United Way of Greater Greensboro is thankful for the members of its African American Leadership engagement group, who have been instrumental champions of this initiative.
